High Line Nine x NADIA

National Arts Diversity Integration Association (NADIA) is excited to announce a cultural partnership with High Line Nine in August of 2021. NADIA’s newly appointed artistic director, acclaimed jazz pianist and composer Isaiah J. Thompson, and founder and executive director Ehren Valmé are at the helm of the venture.

“NADIA is excited to form a cultural partnership with High Line Nine,” says Thompson.

“Through this coalition, we will move forward with several creative initiatives, including interdisciplinary work with the visual artists-in-residence. Stay safe and stay tuned!”

Over the past year, NADIA has developed an impressive roster of artists and arts initiatives through the Amplified Currents Festival of the Arts. This interdisciplinary arts festival focuses on collaboration, creative process, and community engagement. It has produced events around the city and concluded its spring 2021 iteration at High Line Nine.

Executive director Ehren Valmé marks common interests and values between organizations as the highlight of the partnership:

“Since its founding, NADIA has always cherished the opportunity to develop and present innovative programming that involves collaboration across disciplines. This partnership will allow our organizations to explore and observe how the visual and performing arts interact in a unique venue that has become an epicenter of artistic expression in our city…

…High Line Nine is a versatile and cutting-edge space that has consistently attracted the very best visual and performing artists since its opening. We’re very excited to begin collaborating with the fantastic team there to produce live performances, and we’re honored to be the most recent addition to their impressive list of cultural partners.”
